These mats are used mainly for martial arts studios.

The 25mm version is used for Taekwondo, boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Karate and other sports that feature stand-up and striking martial arts. They also provide some fall protection without being too soft for stand-up techniques.

The 40mm version is used for Judo, MMA and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This is the thickest mats and provide optimal fall height protection.
Mats used in competition need to be 40mm thick.
